Hey, totally gratuitous photos of Howard are welcomed anytime!

Oh, and great news about PDA Virginia of course.

Yikes! That's some pic!

Why does not the Democratic Party have a candidate running for Congress in the 4th district of Virginia?

Someone who believes in a balanced budget.
Someone who believes in a National Health Insurance Program.
Someone who believes in a worker's right to organize and strike.
Someone who believes we should pull out of Iraq.
Someone who does not believe in Gay marriages.
Someone who believes in corporate support to increase jobs.
Someone who believes in equal pay and rights at the work place.

Sincerely,

As a Progressive Democrat, I feel that Howard Dean would make an excellent President of our country. He represents the average person, he supports National Health Insurance and has a proven track record in having a balanced budget. I hope he will decide to run. Governor Warner would make a good Vice-President under a President Dean

Has the PDA of Virginia decided whom they are supporting for the Senatorial nomination from Virginia in the Democratic Primary? I am supporting Secretary Webb.

Dear Progressives:

I met the candidates for the Democratic nomination of Virginia and found them both to be worthy contenders. I will have to say that I am for Jim Webb. He has the ability to lead and will make a very fine Senator for Virginia. I feel the Democratic Party makes to much out of his Republican past. A thinking person always makes decisions based upon the times.

I am fifty years old and remember President Jimmy Carter quite well. President Carter is a good man; however, he was not presidential material. I had supported Carter in 1976; however, 1980 was different. As any good Democrat would, I supported Ted Kennedy for the Democratic nomination. As we remember, Senator Kennedy lost to President Carter. I could not support Carter again. The economy was bad and there were other issues that disturbed me. I had two other choices: liberal Republican John B. Anderson and Ronald Reagan, a former New Deal Democrat. I am not saying I did the right thing; I was only human and needed help. I was a young college graduate who was unemployed. The interest rates were high. No one was working. I am not saying I was right; however, I went for Ronald Reagan. Since that time, I have returned to the Democratic Party. Can we not accept Jim Webb for what he is: a true born again Democrat? Did we not accept former Vice-President Henry Wallace, a New Deal liberal Republican, with opened arms into our party when Franklin Delano Roosevelt was President. Henry Wallace served as FDR's Vice-President from 1941 to 1945. He was loved by labor unions. Can we not put Jim Webb's Republican past behind him and accept him for who he is now? Can not the Democratic Party be the big tent for all people who wish to enter and become one of us? Can we not stay on the issues and not someone's political past?

Sincerely,

I was an Officer with Bank of America until I was laid off in 2002. I am fifty years old, have diabetes and congestive heart failure. No one will employ me. No one will insure me. We do not need to be in a war;we need to have national heath insurance, a good economy and jobs. Ford Motor Company is closing plants. More people are losing jobs. The rich do not understand. We need a Progressive President and a Progressive Congress. Private corporations must be controlled. Bank mergers must be stopped; they are putting people out of work. God help us!

There is something I willl never understand.I am a former Officer with Bank of America. In 2002, I was laid off from my position due to the economy. I was also told they would try to call me back when things get better. It is interesting that Bnak of America is still hiring; however, they never call back their former employees. They lay off people; then they hire more. I had twenty-one years experience, others had more. It seems that Bank of America is a heartless employer.

It is interesting that no one ever makes a comment concerning my statements about Bank of America.

Bank of America stinks. It is the rich man's pawn. It works people for twenty-one years and then lays them off and hires younger people. Is not that age discrimination. Bank of America should be brought before the grand jury.

Why does not former Republican Governor Linwood Holton of Virginia offcially join the Virginia Democratic Party? There is no room for liberals in the Republican Party any longer.

We need a Great Society Democrat in the White House again. We do not need someone from the Democratic Leadership Council. They are Republicans and afraid to admit it. We need another FDR, Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy or Lyndon Johnson. Ted Kennedy would make a good president, or even Al Gore.
