James Socas for Congress in Virginia's 10th

Virginia is fortunate to have Democratic candidate James Socas challenging long-time incumbent Republican Frank Wolfe in the 10th Congressional District.

James is a former investment banker and one-time congressional aide from McLean. Shortly after September 11 he was inspired to leave the business sector and enter public service. He became a staff member on the U.S. Senate Banking Committee and later decided to challenge Rep. Wolfe in Congress.

The campaign against Rep. Wolfe promises to be positive. The voters of the 10th District are ready for change, particularly with respect to decisions to be made on economic policy, education and transportation. James Socas has the right positions on these the issues. Pledging to end what he calls the "toddler tax", James has focused attention on the enormous national debt created by the Republican administration, with each of today's toddlers assuming an average debt burden of $25,454.

Former Lieutenant Governor and Dean for America Treasurer, Don Beyer, enthusiastically endorsed James Socas last Saturday at the 10th Congressional District convention.

James and his campaign manager paid a well-received visit to last month's Democracy for America Meetup in Falls Church. After speaking to the assembled group, James took part in a lively question and answer session. He made clear that he welcomes the enthusiastic support of Dean Democrats. He is committed to running a very aggressive campaign throughout the district and will need many volunteers on the ground.

Volunteers can contact the campaign at change@socasforcongress.com or visit their website at http://www.socasforcongress.com/.
